pickpockets enter the dancehall of a city street, a ballroom of subway stations, malls and foreclosed buildings. they said to make something of ourselves and here we were, getting what we needed, doing so without conflict. maybe if we were bold enough, we'd wear half the things we pocketed but nah. they just get pawned off in these exchanges until the closest we'd get to them is seeing all those watches on animated tv billboards or glass cases in downtown.
