where the rockets don't go

the year is 1985...

only driving through in the 240z did i realize just how small this town was, and just how small we were by the end of it. people talked about all these things that happened 20 years ago with black and white photos of apartments on fire or our parents wearing all these off-kilter dresses in front of cops. none of that really mattered that much though. all we had was this suburb that has quilts of snow in the winter that'd make the nights look like they came out of a christmas card. or maybe thinking that we'll all just find ourselves working in some office or something and have this same look our parents have that made their sighs seem like we lived away from their bygone era. graduations only bring one to the end of the town. what is there left charred on earth. it's 1986.

wanna go for a drive...
